Wellness Program
At Wild and Free we believe in supporting healthy growth and development for all children to allow them to play wild and free. With this in mind, we have chosen to offer a wellness program to our Katy community.
What Is The Wellness Program?
Our wellness program is a self-referred program in which parents can independently seek a physical therapy evaluation for their child. An initial evaluation is performed in which the therapist meets with the patient and his/her family to discuss concerns and provide detailed observations of the child’s physical strengths, weaknesses and areas of concern for future development. At the end of the evaluation, parents will be provided with education and a home physical activity plan that is specific to their child’s needs and the family’s goals. Follow up sessions every 6-12 months may then be scheduled based on therapist recommendation.
Who Will Benefit From The Wellness Program?
Our wellness program is geared towards families who may have questions or concerns regarding their child’s development but are unsure if weekly therapy is required. The wellness program is also beneficial for parents of children who may be experiencing pain or difficulty keeping up during sport and want to have a specific training program to target areas of concern to improve their child’s performance and allow for future success. The wellness program is available to any child from birth to 18 years of age. This is a private-pay service, please inquire for additional information regarding rates.
The goal of our wellness program is to provide parents with a more thorough assessment of their child’s physical capabilities and allow the therapist to partner with the family to give their child the best physical advantage for future endeavors, to identify underlying conditions they may be susceptible to, and to prevent future injury.
